During the weekend of 16 and 17 June, members of our Gainsborough team took a welcome opportunity to mingle with our clients (past, present and future) in the more relaxed settings of the Gainsborough Riverside Festival and the Marshall's Yard Tractor Festival. The team included new recruit, Gareth Day, joining Sills from Bell Wright & Co. to head up a Wills, Trust and Probate Department in Gainsborough.
Gainsborough Riverside Festival - Saturday 16th June 2012
Since opening an office in Gainsborough, Sills & Betteridge has been proud to be a sponsor of the annual Riverside Festival. Shan Jaehrig and Debbie Cocker-Brown were kindly invited by Lesley Rollings (Mayor of Gainsborough) to attend the Mayor's Reception at the Old Hall. From there, and supported by more of our Gainsborough team, they joined the Mayor’s Parade through the town to the Festival itself.
Our stand on the riverbank was a popular stopping point for the hundreds of people who turned out to support the event. As well as giving away small gifts (including notepads, sweets, key-rings and even bags of dog treats) throughout the day, one lucky person, Mrs. Otter, won a lovely hamper of wine and biscuits in our free prize draw.
Marshall's Yard Tractor Festival - Sunday 17th June 2012
In a nod to its engineering past, Marshall’s Yard hosted its annual tractor festival on 17 June. In addition to being able to view the many tractors on display, visitors were welcomed to a mini Real Ale Festival arranged by CAMRA. We were lucky enough to be invited to share the CAMRA stand for the day and would like to say how grateful we are to CAMRA for this fantastic opportunity.
We would like to thank everybody who took the time to stop at our stands and to speak to us and to everybody who made these extremely enjoyable events possible.
