We'd like to give a huge thank you to Sammy who was kind enough to make 80 of those delicious cupcakes and also a massive thank you to those that donated.

Sills taking part in fundraising for Lincoln Cathedral!
Lincoln Cathedral is holding a small fundraising event on the 25th May 2012 in order to restore the great turrets that stand at either end of the West Front. Over the centuries, they have withstood the elements and have gradually deteriorated to the point of needing a major programme of stone replacement, re-carving of decorative features and essential maintenance.
For this event, Sills & Betteridge have decided to have an in-house cake sale where our own staff will bake wonderful cakes for just a £1 a slice!
We hope we can contribute to restoring one of Lincoln's finest pieces of architecture.

Sills & Betteridge's Gary Phillips' view on 2012 Budget
Tax Avoidance, Tycoons and Trips to the Seaside
Following the 2012 budget by George Osbourne, Sills & Betteridge Solicitor Gary Phillips takes us through his thoughts on the budget.
The Chancellor has announced a series of changes to the taxes paid by home buyers.
The headline rate of Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) on residential purchases over £2 million has increased from 5% to 7%. Perhaps more significantly, the Chancellor has spelt out a commitment to close real or imaginary SDLT loopholes.
